Meme: UK Government sets out its vision for digital transformation

By February 13, 2017 No Comments

Speaking on behalf of the UK Government, the Government Digital Service recently released its policy paper for digital transformation across the UK infrastructure, with a focus on looking beyond 2020 when the current portfolio of departmental transformation programmes will be complete.  The paper, entitled Government Transformation Strategy: government beyond 2020, sets out the plan for more personalised user experiences, with an onus on being an adaptable, changeable system rather than focusing on new technologies. The Government wants to view new technologies with an eye for what can engage and serve people better, building a shared understanding between state and the public. This will also become more significant as more powers are gradually devolved to the regions.
