Our friends at Best Marketing Degrees compiled this fascinating infographic that we just had to share. It compares the largest online marketing campaigns of recent times and how they fared in terms of their spend, traffic and resultant ROI. And as you can see, it makes for some great reading.
We were particularly interested to see the relative price of utilising an app compared to customer spend, and once again we see the stats that indicate that digital marketing spend is indeed eating into traditional TV advertising budgets.
We’re also interested to note that humour wins out in the virality stakes by quite a margin. Should marketers be donning the comedy cap more often, or perhaps they should continue to leave that to the agencies and people that can actually ‘do’ funny?
