Calling student strategists – Southerly and the Goldman Sachs Student Challenge

We are delighted to announce that Southerly is taking part in the Goldman Sachs Student Challenge this year. So if you’re a budding strategist, why not watch the video below and throw your hat in the proverbial ring?

The Southerly Content Marketing Challenge

Students who get involved are asked to respond to one of three small business challenges, one of which has been set by us. Check out the video below:

Participants are tasked with coming up with a plan of action to propose back to the business leaders. Applicants are judged on their creativity, how innovative their ideas are, their analytical skills, their strategic thinking and, of course, how practical their suggestions are.

Find out all about it right here – closing date for entries is 30 November 2014, and individual students of any discipline can enter.

We’ll be involved in judging the winning entries, so who knows – if you have a great idea, maybe we’ll meet up during the judging process!

The Goldman Sachs Student Challenge

Each challenge in the Goldman Sachs Student Challenge is set by businesses that have participated in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK programme, which so far has featured over 750 business leaders.

Students are invited to submit a maximum of one A4 page or a one-minute video outlining their plan of action for either our recruitment marketing content conundrum or the two other set challenges. Three finalists are then chosen to present their ideas in January 2015.

Each winner gets a place on the Goldman Sachs 2015 Spring Internship Programme in London, with an overall winner selected to receive one year’s worth of tuition fees for a university in England.

It’s a fantastic prize that gives our brightest students and future workforce an amazing opportunity to progress their skills and get noticed on a world stage.
